From the far past, The Eastern Community has always shown their interest on The Western Culture. They were always fascinated by the growth and advancement of The Westerns. These fascination of Eastern Society got bigger from the last century. But why is The Easterners are so intrigued by The Western culture? There are several reasons for that. We shall be discussing those in this blog.

Democracy and independence 

The Western Nation has always respected democracy and liberalism. People of democratic thought and people of liberal thoughts have accsess to anything they wish to do. They have the rights to speak their mind and also raise voice against people of different thoughts and Government. This type of freedom fed The Eastern Nations to believe Western Nation's are better than them in giving rights to people. 

Technology

Both The Eastern and Western nation have their individual technological 

Infrastructure. But Westerners slightly has an edge over Easterners. Historically, Western nations experienced early industrialization which gave them a headstart in technological progress. The industrial evolvement led The Westerns to innovation in hardwares, softwares, machineries, and futuristic gadgets. And by the use of the big brains of their society like (Nicholas Tesla, Albert Einstein, Galileo Galilei and others) they have successfully got in the development of technology. And this Technological Advancements made the Eastern society curious. 

Education 

This one is linked to technology. Like a chain model. Both The Eastern and Western nation has people with high IQ and knowledge but there is a big difference in the educational platform. While the Easterns focus on educating people, The Westerns are producing researchers and Innovators. The Westerns are investing way more than The Easterns in Education. The Westerns have always invested in quality of institutions, research funding, international collaborations. The Westerns gave the students freedom to talk their mind out and bring out ideas. This helped the The Western nations develop more. This gave The Easterners a reason why The Westerns are better than The Easterns in Education. 

Arts and Entertainment 

The history of Westerns in art and entertainment is richer than The Easterns. The history of art is followed way back from Ancient Greece and Rome. Because of those ancient civilization, The Westerns developed more in art. As their art developed, they got a deluxe market value. Which also brings us to entertainment. They also have focused on entertainment for a while now. As they had the technology in their hand, they have gone way beyond their imagination to enrich their movies, books and other mediums of entertainment. These quality works of The Westerns put massive impact over global influence all around the world which made The Easterns think about their own arts and entertainment. 

Lifestyle

The difference of lifestyle between Western and Eastern culture are day and night. The Easterns are very much traditional, conservative, modest, respectful. The Easterns mantain these things to value their culture as they live together in community. So it is sometimes hard for some people to follow. On the other hand, The Westerns are direct and straight forward. They just want to express themselves in a direct sense and without wasting any time. They don't follow traditions or any kind of eastern culture as they they tend to emphasize on individualism, valuing personal freedom and independence. These attracts most of The Easterns towards Western Lifestyle.

Opportunity

In terms of opportunity, The Westerns are way ahead of the Eastern nations. Many western countries are economically developed for their immense infrastructures and industries. And economic development brings more opportunities towards people. And also because of their social mobility and political stability, entrepreneurs and businessmen can invest in new sectors without any hesitations. The economic standards and great pay for jobs also create interest among Easterners. 

Western Activities

As Westerns are not dependent on others or as they are self-centered, They like to do anything without any barriers or hesitations. Like celebrations, festivals etc. Westerns have Art exhibition, Music festivals, Sports events, Entertainment industry related functions where they can get drunk, they can do drugs ( in some countries), they can sleep with anyone, they can have public display of affection, they can show cleavage, they can also get naked. They label these things as freedom which puts misunderstanding in The Easterners minds.

 

Impact on Teens and Elders

The Western Culture is seen among teenagers (Gen Z). Every teenager these days have smartphone and other devices. Through social media they are getting the ideology of western culture. They are finding it easy, fun and wholesome as the culture is teenage friendly. The aspects that makes it teenage friendly are pop culture, youth oriented media, teen-centric entertainment, youth subculture and youth friendly space. On the other hand, this cultures are hated by elders. They thinks western culture is vulgar, doesn’t teach manners, no respect, doesn’t hold traditional values, antireligious. Statistics shows that with age, the attraction of west gets down.

Thoughts of Eastern people 

As we know eastern people are very traditional people who holds traditional values. But in today’s world, Eastern teenagers and adults of 20s think that they are backdated and way behind Westerns. They think Western Society creates future value and trends. If they act to participate in those trends they will become updated with the Westerns. So The Eastern people follow anything new published by Western society in Social Media. In the end they think their own culture as cliche.

The Dark Influences

In midst of attraction and influence there are also some negative things which attracted the Easterns towards Western. Specially in the era of internet it is easy to access in everything. The adult industry slowly starts to grasp over the whole world. People all around the world are now getting to making adult contents including the Eastern society. Many countries are trying to imitate political freedom by following Western politics. As a result, mix match of political strategy becoming a mess. And these becoming a turmoil for the Eastern Society. 

All these things Westerns are using for their own benefits.

Conclusion 

People may get attracted to different nature and culture, but they should also carry the value of their own culture. Whenever tourists from The Western visits The Eastern world, they are mesmerised by the tradition, culture and heritage of the Eastern society. To them, these are pure beauty. If The Easterners focus and work more on their own culture, then in very future the Eastern world will start becoming trend for the Westerns.
